Newcomer Guide

Welcome!
Your journey starts here.
Welcome to TogetherCraft! We are very excited to meet you. This guide should help you understand how our world works. We have added many useful tips, information, and commands to ensure your first day is one of many to enjoy.
Rules.
Claiming Land
There is no limits to what you can build, but please be respectful of other players. Some players may not like having skyscrapers outside their windows. Do not build within 100 blocks of another players land claim without their permission. This gives you both enough space to be limitless in your creativity. All TogetherCraft district hubs are protected by grief prevention. Outside of the hub areas, you are free to build as you like.
Land is free to claim! Claiming land is as easy as 1,2,3…
1. Find the land/space you like.
2. Claim out your land by simply placing a sign, fence or wall.
3. Place a sign in your new claimed area, so everyone knows it’s yours.
As mentioned before, just ensure you are 100 blocks from another player! This will allow you both room to grow.
There is no limit to the amount of land you can claim, and there is no claim blocks needed. Make sure you don’t over claim! If you aren’t going to fill the space, then there is no need to claim it all. You can always expand as you go if needed. You can find out more about our Land Claiming rules here.
Getting Around
Quick answer: All over the map.
Our survival map is currently 50,000 x 50,000 blocks. Which means it is a large map for a survival world, with a great amount of space between each player.
You can’t. TogetherCraft does not have /tp, /tpa, /warp, /spawn, /home or /back commands.
Our community has lots of ways to get around without the use of commands.
Walk. You can use those legs, and walk or sprint around the map.
Ride. You can ride a horse, donkey or another player.
Sail. Craft a wooden boat, and sail the seas!
Nether. Every district has a nether hub which ensures a fast, and quick way to get around our world! Probably one of the fastest local ways to get around.
Portals. In the Capitol, we have district portals which can shoot you across the map to any district. Sometimes a district is near to where you would like to visit, and can be a fast solution to get around easily.
You need to either walk, fly with elytra or ride a boat. We don’t have a /spawn command.
You can’t. TogetherCraft does not have /tp, /tpa, /warp, /spawn, /home or /back commands.
You can get to The End by finding an End Portal, which can be found in the portal room of a stronghold. You can easily access The End from the Capitol. In front of the Town Hall is a Nether portal. Head into the Nether portal, and then follow The End path to the The End. This is the quickest way to access The End.
Districts
We ask that all players choose a district, in which to create their builds. You can use the command /district to select your desired district.
Of course! We have lots of districts to choose from with plenty of exciting themes. When you would like to move district, just make sure your current builds are finished. No one likes half finished builds! When you are ready to move, just do the /district command, and then choose your new district.
If you do the /district command in game, it will show you our current available districts. You will also be able see their themes, coordinates, and other useful details.
Voting
To vote you need to go to the official TogetherCraft voting page. From there, select any of the external sites. Then, simply add your in-game name, complete the Captcha and vote!
You do not need to be online to vote. You can vote from anywhere in the world! You just need to make sure the server is online, so that your votes are registered.
We have no control of the vote sites, but the majority of them allow you to vote every 24 hours.
Each vote site you vote on, will give you 1 vote point. So if you vote on 6 sites, you shall receive 6 vote points.
The TogetherCraft Vote Shop is where you can spend all your hard-earned Vote Points! Rewards include ranks, items, and unique items that you won’t be able to find anywhere else on the server! The vote shop can be viewed by typing the /voteshop command. View how many points you have with the /votepoints command.
PVP
We know not all players like to combat other players. You can enable, or disable PVP by doing the command /pvp. When enabled, you can attack other players, and they can attack you. When disabled, you can’t attack other players, and they can’t attack you. If another player does not have PVP enabled, you will not be able to attack them.
Yes! When you enable /pvp it also includes your tamed animals from being killed by other players.
You will not be able to turn off PVP for 5 seconds once you have enabled it, or whilst in combat. This stops unfair combat for players who do enjoy PVP.
Tokens
Capitol Tokens are a single use item which teleports you to the Capitol. They can be obtained from the store, or with vote points from the /voteshop.
Death Tokens are a single use item, which teleports you back to your last death location. Perfect for grabbing your items before they despawn! They can be obtained from the store, or with vote points from the /voteshop.
Private Signs
We have a chest-locking plugin that uses signs to protect any Minecraft containers (chests, furnaces, etc.) and entrances such as doors and gates.
To lock any of these, place a sign either directly on the container or on the block it’s sitting on, and [Private] will appear on the first line. Your name will show up on the second line, indicating that you have successfully locked your chest.
If you do not want to [Private] a chest, then shift + right click when placing the sign.
Right-click the sign and type /blocklocker <line number> <text> to replace the text on the given line. You can shorten this to /bl <line number> <text>.
On the third and fourth row of the sign with [Private] signs you can add the names of up to two friends who may also access the chest.
Place a second sign against the chest. The chest plugin will add [More Users] to the first line and [Everyone] to the second line. If you want to change this, right-click the sign to edit it. If the name of the person you’re adding doesn’t fit on the sign, just type as many characters as possible. If the person you’re adding is currently online, the chest plugin will be able to complete the name.
If the name of the person you’re adding doesn’t fit on the sign, just type as many characters as possible. If the person you’re adding is currently online, the chest plugin will be able to complete the name.
The tag [Everyone] grants everyone access to the protection.
The tag [Redstone] grants hoppers access to the container, and allows redstone signal to open doors.
There’s also a [Timer:X] tag, where X is a number from 0 to 9. Doors will close automatically after the specified amount of seconds.
Shopping District & Economy
Only Members, and above can enter the Shopping District. To become a member, you need to /rankup with 25 vote points.
You can access the Shopping District by using the Shopping District portal in the Capitol. This portal will only allow Members, and above to enter.
Diamonds are the main currency of the server. Diamonds can be obtained by mining or selling items to other players.
Luckily, we have a price index which has every in game item listed. The prices within this index are the minimum, that of which you can sell an item for in our world. You can sell items for a higher price than what is listed here, but you can’t sell for less than what is within our price index. This is to ensure a fair economy for everyone who opens a shop within our Shopping District.
Redstone & Farms
We have the following redstone limits per chunk:
Hoppers: 30
Pistons: 30
Observers: 30
Sticky Pistons: 30
Repeater: 30
Comparator: 30
Spawner: 1
Your massive mob farm will not get the rates you’re expecting on a server of our size. You really don’t need 20 double chests of melons, pumpkins, and cactus. Instead focus your energies on creativity and building something pretty rather than laggy.
Zero tick farms are not allowed. In addition to being an unnecessary source of frame lag (high frequency, crazy pistons), we also consider these to be a game exploit (items are generated far faster than they would be under normal conditions).
Do not have an excessive amount of entities. If the entity limit is breached your entities may begin to de-spawn and will not be recovered by the Admin Team. If you would like to protect your entities (animals, villagers, mobs) from despawning then you need to name tag them.
Other FAQ
If you believe your ban was an error, then you can appeal your ban by sending a message on Discord to Modmail.
Fire spread is off. This gives your builds that little extra security and allows you to get creative with lava and fire!
The server was started on 6th January 2021 with only 11 players.
