You have found a Minecraft server you like the look of, opened the joining instructions, and spotted the word whitelisted. But what does that actually mean?
A whitelisted Minecraft server requires approval before you can play. Rather than letting anyone connect straight away, the community has a joining process.
At TogetherCraft, that means linking your Minecraft and Discord accounts and completing an application. It gives us a chance to learn a little about you, and gives you a chance to understand the community you are joining.
Why does TogetherCraft have a whitelist?
When you spend hours building a home, collecting resources, and organising your storage, you want to share that world with people who respect it.
Our whitelist helps us welcome players who understand how TogetherCraft works. We have rules against griefing and theft, and we expect everyone to respect other players, their belongings, and their builds.
An application is one part of maintaining that environment. Clear rules and a staff team are part of it too.
We want you to spend your evening deciding which blocks look best together. That decision is difficult enough without somebody helping themselves to your chests. 👀
What should you look for before applying?
Before joining any whitelisted Minecraft server, take a moment to read about its gameplay and community.
Does it offer the survival experience you enjoy? Are you comfortable with the rules? Does the world reset? How do players claim land or trade with one another?
Finding the right fit matters. A server can look brilliant in screenshots, but its everyday gameplay needs to suit you too.
Our player guide explains how TogetherCraft works, from getting started to exploring districts and gathering materials. Our rules explain what we expect from everyone.
Do you need to be an experienced Minecraft player?
You do not need an impressive portfolio of castles to apply to TogetherCraft.
Perhaps you have played survival for years. Perhaps you are returning after a break and wondering when Minecraft acquired quite so many blocks.
Your application is a chance to introduce yourself. Tell us about the things you enjoy, what brought you here, and what you would like to do in our community.
Be honest and put some thought into your answers. We would much rather hear about your enthusiasm for a little fishing hut than read a grand promise you think we want to hear.
