On the 5th November, people across the UK celebrate Bonfire Night with fireworks, bonfires, sparklers and toffee apples. The reason we do it is because it’s the anniversary of a failed attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament. This was called the Gunpowder Plot. When we light bonfires to remember this event, traditionally there would be a dummy man on the top. It is called the ‘Guy’ and represents a man who was part of the plot, called Guy Fawkes.
To enjoy the fun together, we shall be hosting our very own Bonfire Night! We shall kick start the evening off with a burning maze. The first player to find the exit amongst the fireā¦ wins! š„
Afterwards, we shall have toffee apples, sparklers, and fireworks!
