This is the news you have all been waiting for… 1.20 is officially coming to TogetherCraft! The wait is finally over, and we can now prepare to update to 1.20. I know we are all very excited for the armour trims, bamboo, hanging signs, and so much more! We also have some very exciting features we shall be adding ourselves! I would like to thank everyone for their patience. Just like you, I am very excited for the new biomes, mobs, and blocks!

What happens now?

On Monday 3rd July at 10am UTC the network will go into maintenance mode, until estimated Thursday 6th July 7pm UTC. We shall keep you updated along the way! This time we shall be updating not only the survival server, but the lobby, hardcore and creative world too!

Why can’t we play straight away?

When we update to 1.20, we will need to update all of the plugins and ensure that there are no bugs or glitches. You have to remember, that our world isn’t a “super vanilla” world. The last thing we want is double barrels, and players 6 row ender chests to be empty! This time will also enable us to prepare the exciting extras we have planned for 1.20.

Will the world be reset?

NO. NO NO. If I could put a gif here I would. The world, and everything you have created shall be just as you left it. We are not resetting our world. We love this world, and all the fantastic things we have built together. Any old chunks which haven’t been explored will be updated to 1.20. Many of you may know this process as “trimming”. We shall trim the unused chunks within the world, and update them to 1.20. We can keep our awesome builds, our homes, our loot, and still have the awesome fun that 1.20 shall bring!

Why will the update take so long?

Our Survival world is huge! In fact, it is 300gb huge. This usually take me 10 – 12 hours to download, before I can actually start trimming the world. In addition, we need to update all of the servers, plugins, and include some new additions.

What will I do with my spare time?

I know it sucks being away from TogetherCraft! And, I guess I might miss you for a few days…. This maintenance, and update time will give you the chance to say hello to your friends, and family. Watch some films, and take time for yourself! So relax, and rest well to have sleepless nights exploring the new Cherry Blossom biome! Below is a list of things you can do whilst you wait for us to update everything:
